Working for better Nepal
Building useful web tools and apps for the Nepali community since 2005 — including the Nepali calendar, Unicode converter, Nepal exchange rates, Panchang, precious metals prices, and many more helpful services to simplify daily life..
Web Applications
The most comprehensive Nepali Patro online — covering Bikram Sambat years 1970–2100. Every day shows the Nepali date, Tithi, festivals, and public holidays. Dashain, Tihar, Teej, Chhath, Lhosar and all major cultural events are marked throughout the year.
Built for Nepali communities worldwide, it's fully responsive, supports multiple languages, and comes with lightweight embeddable widgets so any website can display the live Nepali calendar. Trusted since 2005.
I'm Ashesh, hailing from the breathtaking Himalayan country of Nepal — the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal. This website is dedicated to all things Nepal, offering tools and resources for the Nepali-speaking community worldwide.
My passions lie in programming, blogging, and designing. I have a keen interest in philosophical literature, photography, and social networking. My journey into programming began in school, where i = i + 1 made absolutely no sense to me.
For two years I struggled through classes. But in my final year, I had to complete a project on my own. Programming seemed overwhelmingly confusing — I almost gave up. Then I started going to the library, dedicated countless hours to studying, and almost ran out of time. But I did it.
"I no longer asked myself, 'Is it possible?' or 'Can I do it?' — instead I began asking, 'How can I do it?' This shift in perspective instilled confidence that hard work yields results."
Web development has always captivated my interest. I spent hours exploring web design, programming, widgets, and development communities — dreaming of becoming a web developer. Since 2005, I've been building free tools for the Nepali community, and I hope to keep sharing my interest and knowledge with you.
I'm a registered member of IMIS (Institute for the Management of Information Systems) and BCS (British Computer Society).
